The cocktail waitresses are the best around. Genuinely warm and welcoming, also wonderfully trained in efficiency and attention to detail. The hotel reception staff and the staff at the cafe are exceptional. There are a few gems who still remember our names and welcoming us like family. When employees never smile they arent happy the turn over rate for new hires is astronomical. I would advise against subjecting anyone to the disappointment pala has instore for their guests. I was proud to bring friends and family members into pala to become club members. Sadly I feel I was a loyal pala player for far too long. The fact is I remember when Pala was a fun place to go, win or lose. I wouldn't suggest bringing a loved one to pala because the training the security in suits received concentrates on a distrust of all customers to the point of barely hidden contempt. Watching elderly women submitting to this offensive ritual gave me an uneasy feeling that pala must receive frequent bomb threats.
It is sad to witness customers lining up to have their purses and bags searched by security. Pala is the only casino that i know of that treats their customers so poorly.
